Foot Pain, injury
& rehabilitation

Musculoskeletal (MSK) / Biomechanical Assessments
If you’re experiencing foot, ankle, lower limb, or back pain that isn’t related to skin or nail conditions, you may benefit from a specialist MSK assessment.
During your consultation, your podiatrist will take a detailed history of your symptoms, lifestyle and activity levels before carrying out a comprehensive physical and biomechanical assessment, including appropriate clinical testing.
During your appointment, we will:
-
Assess the range of motion in your foot and ankle joints
-
Check your alignment, posture, and movement patterns
-
Identify strengths and weaknesses in your lower limbs
-
Perform a gait analysis using advanced diagnostic technology
This comprehensive assessment helps us identify the underlying cause of your pain and enables us to provide an accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plan.
Your personalised plan may include:
-
Footwear advice
-
Rehabilitation and strengthening programmes
-
Orthotic therapy and insoles
-
Exercise prescription
-
Activity modification
-
Taping, padding or offloading techniques
-
Referral for imaging or further investigations if required
Some treatment may be provided during the initial appointment where appropriate but further follow up appointments are likely. If further assessment is necessary, you may be referred for advanced gait analysis or specialist podiatric investigations.
Referrals outside of the clinic may also be recommended (GP, physio, radiology, foot and ankle consultants) and will incur extra charges.
